The Monterey Bay Aquarium, which celebrates the fauna and flora of the California coast, is the area's main attraction. This rugged landscape offers a variety of scenic views, from San Francisco Bay to the Santa Cruz Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
A bronze statue along the trail recalls a time when you could rest in the shade of a tree on the Santa Cruz Mountain Trail, one of California's most popular hiking trails. The Molloys were built in 1883 and the walls are decorated with the names of local artists, musicians and artists from all over the world.
When we were in South San Francisco, we stopped at Gray Whale Cove on the way to the Ano Nuevo National Wildlife Refuge. Grey Whale Bay is a must see - see because it is not only a sunny beach, but also has fantastic weather when you are in South San Francisco. Anos Nuesvo is one of the best wildlife viewing alpha species in the Bay Area and a great place for whale watching.

From there, we can also take the South and North Peaks, but note: If you want a road trip experience by the sea, take Highway 156 West to connect to Highway One in Castroville north of Monterey to continue.
